One-off precision components through to complete product programmes — in-house, UK supply chain or managed international network.
01 — Precision machining
CNC and conventional. Prototype to volume.
Our shop covers milling and turning across plastics, aluminium, steels, titanium and nickel alloys. Multi-axis work keeps complex geometry in fewer setups. Conventional machines remain the quick route for one-offs and design iterations.
We take on difficult work that others turn down. Standard lead time is typically around 15 working days from order — quoted against your actual requirement.
02 — Product development & DFMA
Developed around a production route we control.
We advise early on materials, tolerances, process fit and cost — then carry responsibility through prototypes, first-offs and into repeat manufacture. SolidWorks is our primary tool; we also work from 2D drawings and sketches.
03 — Assembly & systems integration
Mechanical, electromechanical and connected builds.
From precision sub-assemblies to systems with controls, electronics and software. Where needed we develop functional tests so performance is checked before dispatch.
04 — Complete product programmes
One partner from first engineering to scaled supply.
Engineering, sourcing, production, assembly, testing and delivery — with Bar Knight as your single point of contact. Suited to multidisciplinary products: UAV platforms, industrial equipment, specialist instruments and connected devices.
05 — Tooling, jigs & special purpose
Production tooling and reverse-engineered replacements.
Jigs, fixtures and custom machinery for laser, electronics and medical environments. When OEM tooling is gone or unfit, we reverse-engineer and rebuild — or design a better replacement.
06 — UK + managed international supply
We pick the route. You stay with Bar Knight.
Some jobs belong in-house. Others need UK partners or managed international capacity. We review volume, material, tolerance, timeline and cost — then own quality and performance whichever route fits.

BEng & PhD Mechanical Engineering, Newcastle University. Former Technical Director of Teknek Ltd. Prior roles include LumiraDx, Touch Bionics by Össur (US patent US 12,527,672 B2), and Lead Mechanical Engineering Researcher at the Newcastle University EPSRC Centre for Innovative Manufacturing in Medical Devices.
Over 18 years across advanced manufacturing, medical device design, mechatronics and precision engineering. Experience spanning ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and DfX practice. Appointed MD as part of Indarra Group’s investment programme.
